the further we went the better the ride was although it was still surprisingly calm from what I expected.
we saw some mud nests the birds built under the bridge
Lance took us out rafting. 
We opted for him to do all the work because the kids were both claiming injuries from the shots they had gotten in their arm from the Dr's the day before. Later they realized that just sitting in the raft wasn't all that exciting.
the water was quite smooth as we started out so we floated down the river and enjoyed the weather...
and the views

Grandma Geri brought an old coconut for the kids to mess with
So they are using a screwdriver and hammer to get it opened to get the milk out
hmmm... no milk yet
turns out the coconut was so old that it was dusty and dry inside... no milk! oh well. They promptly bashed it open in the driveway. It was approximately 15 minutes of entertainment.
