Me and My Kids

We finally got a hold of Thomas's owner - yeah!! He was very happy to get him back. Bye Thomas!!!

Our shelter for homeless kitties

This is Thomas... On Wednesday evening Zia and I back were walking back to my house after walking the kids over to Steve's house. This little guy jumped out at me when we were just a couple of blocks from home. I, of course, reached down and picked him up and petted him and tried to out him back down and leave. BIG MISTAKE! HE followed us all the way home. I told Zia to just ignore him and get in the house and that maybe he would just go away. Next thing you know he was up in my windows talking to my cats and trying to get in - AND hanging from the screens - EEK! I tried to chase him off in hopes that he would go back home but he wasn't frightened of me at all or the squirt bottle... sigh... I even tried running the sprinkler just to keep him away from the house - it didn't work. Just when I thought he had left I found that he had crawled down into one of my window wells and curled up for the night. Again... sigh... I couldn't leave him out there for the night without making sure that he had some food so yes, I put a bowl of food down in the window well with him. He was definitely hungry and ate. I went to bed and woke up 6 hours later, went running to window well hoping he had left during the night only to find a furry face staring right back at me. Argh! What am I going to do now?!? I already feel like the cat lady. So I got ready for work and put some more food out for him and figured if he was there when I got home, I'd call the number on his tag and send him packing. The day drags on, I get home, he's not there. Phew! The kids and I left for an appointment only to get a call from Dave that he stopped by and a furry thing went running into the house while he was coming inside. Oh boy! When we get home, he came running from the side of the house, happy to see us. In we ALL went. I've called the number on the tag and left a message - no one ever called back. I tried all the next day but the phone goes right to voicemail... oh boy! Meanwhile Thomas is stuck in his own room away from my cats since we do not know anythng about him. But we have found out that he is VERY affectionate, really loves catnip (as you can see by picture number 2), loves to play and looks and acts pretty healthy. He is getting quite bored with the bedroom and really wants to play with my other kitties... unfortunately that can't happen. He has through this weekend for a call from his owner and then after that, I will find him a new home. He's cute but no more cats for me!       Posted by Picasa

Kayla has Brandon in handcuffs... he's been placed under arrest. Why you ask? Kayla doesn't need a reason other than he's the "Brother" Posted by Picasa

The funniest part about this picture for me is that when I was Kayla's age... maybe a little bit older, I did the same thing. Way over did the makeup! My Dad took a picture and I wanted to put them on here together but for the life of me, I can't find that picture. I'm still looking tho. Like mother, like daughter. LOL! Posted by Picasa
